About Cognizon

Business data, connected to what it means.

Cognizon is an AI analysis and shared knowledge platform for business teams. It helps teams bring their data together, investigate what it means, and turn what they learn into decisions the whole team can build on.

Business data inside the team

Market context where it matters

Shared knowledge for the next decision

The founding question

Why we built Cognizon.

At Magpie IQ, we help teams understand what is happening in the market. But market data alone rarely answers a business question. A team also needs its own sales, inventory, campaign, cost, and operational data to understand what a market change means for them.

Getting those answers takes more than putting two charts side by side. Internal data is often scattered across files and systems. Sources need to be cleaned, related to one another, and understood in the context of how the business works. Relevant market data adds another layer of context.

We built Cognizon for the work that comes next: connecting data, investigating the questions it raises, and keeping the knowledge gained along the way. That need extends well beyond ecommerce or any one market.

What Cognizon does

From scattered sources to a shared understanding.

01

Connect the pieces

Bring business data into one analytical workspace. Work through different sources and definitions to examine the business as a whole, rather than reconcile reports by hand before every question.

02

Investigate what it means

Ask questions, explore changes, and inspect the evidence behind an answer. Where relevant coverage is available, Magpie IQ market intelligence can add an outside view to your own data.

03

Turn analysis into useful work

Use dashboards to follow performance and memos to explain findings and next steps. The point is not more charts; it is analysis your team can use for a decision.

04

Keep what the team learns

Business definitions, corrections, and important context should not disappear into one person’s spreadsheet or one conversation. Carry that knowledge into the team’s next question.

What makes it different

The answer is only part of the work.

Before the question

Useful analysis starts with the sources and what they mean—not a chat box placed on data that is already perfectly prepared.

Inside and outside context

Examine your own performance and, where coverage is available, put it alongside relevant market intelligence.

Knowledge that stays

Definitions, corrections, and past findings can help the whole team move forward instead of starting over.

Answers you can inspect

Check the data and interpretation behind a finding before relying on it or sharing it.

Who it is for

For teams that need the whole picture.

Cognizon is for business teams making decisions from data spread across sources and people—commercial, marketing, operations, and beyond. Commerce is an important example of the problem, not the boundary of the product.

How it works

A question leads to the next one.

Bring in your data. Connect and examine the relevant sources. Ask a question, inspect the answer, and refine the analysis. Keep the useful result as a dashboard or memo—and carry the context forward for the rest of the team.

Frequently asked questions

A few things worth clearing up.

How is Cognizon related to Magpie IQ?

Cognizon is built by the team behind Magpie IQ. The experience of helping teams use market intelligence alongside their own, often fragmented data helped give rise to Cognizon.

Do I need Magpie IQ data to use Cognizon?

No. Cognizon helps teams analyze their own business data. Where Magpie IQ has relevant market coverage, that data can provide additional context.

Is Cognizon only for ecommerce teams?

No. The problem we first encountered through ecommerce—connecting scattered data, understanding it, and preserving what the team learns—exists across many kinds of businesses.

Do I need to know SQL?

No. Teams can investigate data through questions and review the evidence behind the answers without writing SQL.
